{"id":10221,"date":"2023-05-24T11:17:15","date_gmt":"2023-05-24T11:17:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/inspiration\/un-hogar-repensado-para-llenarse-de-luz\/"},"modified":"2025-10-15T09:51:01","modified_gmt":"2025-10-15T09:51:01","slug":"a-home-rethought-to-be-filled-with-light","status":"publish","type":"inspiration","link":"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/en\/inspiration\/a-home-rethought-to-be-filled-with-light\/","title":{"rendered":"A home rethought to be filled with light"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/majoflores.com\/\">Majo Flores Studio<\/a> faced the challenge of renovating and redistributing a 280m2 apartment in Valencia, where the <strong>hallway removal<\/strong> and the relocation of the kitchen allowed for much brighter spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Cocina-con-vistas-al-salon-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6131\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They designed an entryway, kitchen, living room, and dining room in an open, airy space, separating the areas with<strong> glass enclosures<\/strong> with oak wood moldings, which are complemented by the natural wood flooring that covers the entire house. In this way, it is achieved<strong> take advantage of natural light<\/strong> that enters through the large windows into the four rooms, which would otherwise lack natural light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"6133\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Recibidor-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6133\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"6138\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Cocina.-Zona-de-mesa-baja-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6138\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"6139\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Comedor-visto-desde-zona-sofa-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6139\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It highlights that as a guiding principle for the four rooms, a<strong> English patio<\/strong> where a preserved eucalyptus bush has been placed to connect these spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Vista-recibidor-y-cocina-desde-el-salon-comedor-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6134\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Continuing along the floor, a <strong>courtesy cleaning<\/strong> with a theatrical effect, using indirect lighting and covering the walls with black Marquina porcelain and wallpaper. To complete the scene, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/en\/producto\/washbasins\/hierro-fundido\/begursa.html\/\">Begursa cast iron sink by Bathco<\/a>, which achieves the desired effect.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Aseo-de-cortesia-iluminado-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6135\" width=\"347\" height=\"512\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the most remote and intimate area of the house, you'll find the master bedroom, where the concept of open spaces is maintained by incorporating an en-suite bathroom within the bedroom. This bathroom combines three types of finishes: oak wood in rounded slat form, natural stone, and mirror in the sink area.
