The reform and segregation of housing is a booming trend in the world of interior design. Especially in cities where land value is high and space optimization becomes a priority. On this occasion, we explore an interesting project carried out in Bilbao, Bizkaia, where a 350m2 house was divided into two independent units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The owners' objective was clear: to transform a large house into two independent living spaces without losing the architectural essence of the original building. To achieve this, approximately 120m2 were intervened, creating new spaces that integrate with the existing ones in a harmonious way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Challenges when dividing a house<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the main challenges of the project was to preserve the character of the original home. Architectural elements such as moldings, doors and baseboards were recovered and recreated, ensuring that the new configuration maintained the charm and distinction of the original structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The color palette also became a key element to give personality to the spaces and differentiate the two units without losing aesthetic cohesion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the bathrooms, material washbasins have been installed. composite<\/a> Bathco, using the models Mendoza<\/a> y Parana<\/a>. These sinks combine modern design and functionality, bringing a touch of elegance and durability to wet rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These types of interventions are a clear example of how interior design and architecture can transform spaces without losing their essence. The segregation of dwellings not only responds to functional needs, but also offers opportunities for creativity and the revaluation of architectural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
