En el caso del rugby, esta palabra adquiere otra dimensi\u00f3n. Pese a ser un deporte duro, de mucho contacto, destaca por su honestidad y nobleza. Se dice que es un \u201cjuego de b\u00e1rbaros practicado por caballeros\u201d. Y es que el rugby posee una serie de valores propios que se pueden trasladar a la vida misma y que son el mejor ejemplo para la sociedad, especialmente para los m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>El rugby es un deporte integrador, donde todos suman, todos cuentan. No existen las celebraciones individuales, es un trabajo de equipo y se celebra en equipo.<\/p>\n<p>El rugby sigue una disciplina f\u00e9rrea con unas reglas muy marcadas donde el \u00e1rbitro es la m\u00e1xima autoridad y se respeta al m\u00e1ximo su papel, tanto por los jugadores como por al afici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Toda la rivalidad y confrontaci\u00f3n que existe en el campo, se queda en el campo. Los jugadores de ambos equipos, los \u00e1rbitros y los entrenadores comparten charla y cambian impresiones en el conocido \u201cTercer Tiempo\u201d. Todo un ritual en el que, como si de una gran familia se tratase, disfrutan de la comida mientras charlan amenamente sobre el partido.<\/p>\n<p>Por todo ello, la Fundaci\u00f3n Social y Deportiva Bathco (FUSODEBA), a trav\u00e9s del Bathco Rugby Club, ha convertido este noble deporte en su estandarte, al considerarlo como el mejor transmisor de valores para los m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes. Y es que el equipo realiza una importante labor con las escuelas deportivas que actualmente est\u00e1n integradas por m\u00e1s de 100 ni\u00f1os desde 8 a 16 a\u00f1os. Su actividad se centra en el trabajo de los m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os con el objetivo de iniciarles en esta pr\u00e1ctica deportiva que tantos beneficios aporta en materia de salud, crecimiento personal e integraci\u00f3n social. La consecuencia directa de este trabajo es la creaci\u00f3n de una cantera de talentos que represente el deporte c\u00e1ntabro.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-3038\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/X9R7137-300x203.jpg\" alt=\"_X9R7137,\" width=\"300\" height=\"203\">El Bathco Rugby Club hace historia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Precisamente el pasado 2 de junio el primer equipo del Bathco Rugby Club consigui\u00f3 el ascenso a Divisi\u00f3n de Honor. El mayor hito de su historia y lo hizo frente a un rival de la m\u00e1xima categor\u00eda, CR La Vila, en un partido muy disputado hasta el final. Igualaba as\u00ed la haza\u00f1a que consigui\u00f3 hace a\u00f1os el Hernani RT.<\/p>\n<p>A partir de la pr\u00f3xima temporada, Santander contar\u00e1 con dos equipos en la m\u00e1xima categor\u00eda del rugby nacional. Sin duda, todo un ejemplo para los m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes que comienzan a ver a este deporte como una gran alternativa deportiva.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-3040\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/DSC_7588-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_7588\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\">V Torneo John Kitson<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>FUSODEBA tambi\u00e9n colabora en la organizaci\u00f3n de acciones para los m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes dentro del panorama del rugby nacional. El Torneo John Kitson celebrado en Arenas de Igu\u00f1a se ha convertido en un buen ejemplo. Se trata de un torneo para los m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os en el que se dan cita equipos de toda Espa\u00f1a e incluso equipos internacionales.<\/p>\n<p>Este torneo surge como iniciativa de un grupo de padres cuyos hijos disfrutaban jugando al rugby en su valle y decidieron crear en 2013 un encuentro de rugby touch con el objetivo de animar a los m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os a practicar este deporte. Lo bautizaron John Kitson, en honor a uno de los precursores del rugby en la zona del Besaya y de Campoo.
