Moldings by Orac Decor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interior designer Jos\u00e9 Lara says \u201c<em>The owner contacted us after we had worked for the family. He was a very busy, great professional who was looking for comfort when returning home and a place where he could enjoy gatherings with friends and family.<\/em>. <em>Inspired by its elegance and simplicity and\ngiving new use to some pieces and mementos I had been acquiring,\nwe created a home with simple lines, quality materials and finishes, and\ntouches of color.<\/em>\u201dthe interior designer continues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project prioritized natural light coming in through the balconies \u2013 which still retain the original carpentry of the building and which the interior designer restored to maintain the essence of the property without sacrificing insulation and comfort \u2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Living room\nand dining room<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The interior designer wanted to achieve a functional home that conveyed the owner's style while respecting the essence of the building, and they succeeded.\u201c<em>implementing\nsome walls with magnificent moldings or installing oak wood flooring\nin a Hungarian point pattern with a perimeter border that gave the home a lot of character; also the black baseboard, which continues on door modules and cornices and emulates the continuous stroke of a pencil<\/em>\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>One of the key decorative elements was to use a single element as a unifying thread, providing continuity to the project: I chose black baseboards, which also continue into door moldings and cornices, emulating the continuous stroke of a pencil.<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/OyG-06-1-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"4671\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/OyG-06-1.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=4671\" class=\"wp-image-4671\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/OyG-07-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"4661\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/OyG-07.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=4661\" class=\"wp-image-4661\"\/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other standout elements include the wallpapers and the use of color in small doses, such as the red armchairs, which are a design by <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Patricia Urquiola (opens in new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/patricia_urquiola\/\" target=\"_blank\">Patricia Urquiola<\/a> for Cassina. You can also see a coffee table with a wooden top <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Ava Wood (opens in new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/avawood_design\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ava Wood<\/a>. On it, horses acquired from an antique shop and a crystal center <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Asiatides (opens in new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/asiatidesparis\/\" target=\"_blank\">Asiatides<\/a>. Pillows <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Gancedo (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/gancedo1945\" target=\"_blank\">Gancedo<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/alhambra_fabrics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Alhambra (opens in new tab)\">Alhambra<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the dining area, the owner's table and chairs were kept, and a sideboard designed by Jos\u00e9 Lara was added. The mirror is an antique, and the curtains are from Alhambra. The leaf centerpiece can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/verdepimienta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Green Pepper (opens in new tab)\">Green Pepper<\/a> and the yellow vases in Asiatides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The hallway and the foyer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When the study discovered the great potential of the housing, it also became aware of the challenge posed by the long, narrow corridor. That's why it started the design work from this point.\u201c<em>I decided to use overhead lighting and also some floor-recessed fixtures to visually expand the space, and I worked on the detailing of wall moldings, baseboards, and woodwork.<\/em>\u201d assures the interior designer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-3 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/OyG-10-1-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"4662\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/OyG-10-1.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=4662\" class=\"wp-image-4662\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/OyG-18-1-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"4669\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/OyG-18-1.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=4669\" class=\"wp-image-4669\"\/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both in the hallway and at the entrance, the indigo blue of the walls takes center stage. In the foyer, a wooden dresser was placed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/dutchbone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Dutchbone (opens in new tab)\">Dutchbone<\/a> and custom-made mirror, designed by Jos\u00e9 Lara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u201cTo visually reduce the feeling of narrowness in the hallway, I used overhead lighting and recessed floor-oriented fixtures, and I worked on the detailing of the wall moldings, baseboards, and millwork.\u201d <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bedroom<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The blue is still very present in the bedroom. There we see the K\u00f6nige Holz floors and the wallpaper from <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Coordinated (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/coordonne\/\" target=\"_blank\">Coordinates<\/a>. The headboard is a design by Jos\u00e9 Lara. To achieve this, a careful selection of materials is made. A sliding door designed by the studio is installed in the foreground. On a wooden vanity with a black countertop, the <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Stone sink Rio by Bathco (opens in new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/en\/producto\/washbasins\/piedra\/circular\/rio.html\/\" target=\"_blank\">Stone sink Rio by Bathco<\/a><\/strong>, flush-mounted faucets and light fixtures <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/oracdecor_spain\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Orac Decor. (opens in new tab)\">Orac Decor. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The walls are covered with microcement, it has a niche for the mirror, and wallpaper is applied flush with the ceiling. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/pepe.penalver\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Pepe Pe\u00f1alver (opens in new tab)\">Pepe Pe\u00f1alver<\/a> as a border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/OyG-16-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4667\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The final result is a warm and welcoming home, where you can enjoy great moments in good company, work, or savor moments of solitude. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dressing room\n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebathcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/OyG-12-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4663\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From the bedroom, you access the dressing room, which is composed of a wooden and metal unit designed by the interior design studio itself. It leaves clothes visible at the top and provides storage space with shelves and drawers at the bottom and in the loft.
