Using brushes and a lot of creativity, the artists at Atelier de Bathco have developed a new project that could well be located in any Spanish winery.<\/p>\n
With the aim of showing interior designers, architects, and decorators how work is done at the Atelier and the scope of their bespoke projects (Atelier Project), the interior design of a winery's bathrooms has been recreated.<\/p>\n
The choice of this theme is no coincidence. The wine industry has long been committed to avant-garde design when conceiving the architecture of its wineries. These are not just spaces for wine production and storage; they are places that aim to delight visitors through a complete visual and sensory experience.<\/p>\n
Hence, many of the great architectural works of the 21st century are found in major Spanish wineries. They are spaces for the senses, true works of art.<\/p>\n
So, why not transfer this concept to the bathroom area? This space cannot be forgotten when planning an interior design that is in perfect harmony with the global architectural project. That's where the work of the artists in our studio comes in; it's about turning the restroom areas into authentic works of art that serve to give continuity to the construction project of the winery as a whole.<\/p>\n
The Atelier's Work<\/p>\n
Once the interior designer conveys what they are looking for in the project and what their sources of inspiration have been, the artists at Bathco Atelier begin the creative process.
Ideas, sketches, materials, initial brushstrokes\u2026 everything must be worked on together with the interior designer. It is essential that both the artist and the client feel like integral parts of this project; the final result is inextricably linked to the collaborative ability of both parties. This is why the Bathco Atelier is conceived as a joint workspace, where the project can be viewed, smelled, touched, and nurtured from the beginning.<\/p>\n
In the case of the winery, the final result is a series of sinks painted by the artist, Emeric Minaya, which represent the different strata of the earth and the elements involved in the winemaking process. Additionally, the ceramics themselves have been colored in shades reminiscent of different types of wine (white or ros\u00e9) and with the blue of water, which is as important for the grape's growth process as it is for the sink's functionality.
The design of the room is completed with a tile mural about wine harvesting, inspired by the engravings made in the 19th century. Here, the artist once again represents the land, his work enveloping it in the nostalgia of the past.<\/p>\n
