\u201cSerene Touch\u201d proposes a new concept for hotel reception areas. For the first time, Bathco is taking the sink out of the bathroom and opening it up to public spaces where the beauty and functionality of this piece have the same meaning and allow us to use our most primal sense: touch.<\/p>\n
This space claims the recovery of a real world, one that can be felt and touched. And precisely this sense is reflected through the pieces designed by interior designer Patricia Bustos and created by the artists at Atelier de Bathco.<\/p>\n
Patricia Bustos visited Bathco Atelier to learn about the different techniques artists apply to their work. She gained an understanding of the possibilities offered by this workshop and became involved in the creative process, working hand in hand with the artists. In this way, various pieces inspired by Art Nouveau, Modernism, and architectural Brutalism have come to life: a counter, a bench, some lamps, some sinks with their pedestals, and the legs for the central table.<\/p>\n
Counter and bench<\/strong> Patricia Bustos Studio designed two pieces of furniture for the \u201cSerene Touch\u201d space, inspired by Gaud\u00ed's modernism: a counter and a bench. The Atelier artists were responsible for reproducing both pieces to later cover them with ceramic. Finally, they applied a patina to give them an aged look, painted them in a gradient with unsaturated tones, and finished them with a fine gold patina.<\/p>\n Sinks, baseboards, and table legs<\/strong> The sink becomes a key piece in \u201cSerene Touch\u201d because it appears for the first time in a public space of these characteristics. For the occasion, the circular Dinan model is chosen, dressed in Vichy checks. The sinks painted by the artists of Bathco Atelier are placed on ceramic pedestals created in the workshop itself and are completed with Tasos faucets (a new Bathco product for this year that will be presented soon).<\/p>\n Following the same technique as the bases, a scale reproduction was made to create the legs for the table that can be seen in the center of the space.<\/p>\n
