Bathco BM Torrelavega presented its project for the 2023\/2024 season yesterday morning, corresponding to the first ASOBAL Professional League. The presentation included a press conference held at the headquarters of Bathco, the main sponsor of the orange squad, in an event that is already a true tradition of Torrelavega's preseasons.<\/p>\n
The event featured the participation of Jos\u00e9 L\u00f3pez, manager of Bathco; Susana Ruiz, Director General of Sports; Javier L\u00f3pez Estrada, Mayor of Torrelavega; and Antonio G\u00f3mez and \u00c1lex Mozas, president and coach of Bathco BM Torrelavega. Alongside the economic and management aspects of the project, the sports objectives for this year dominated the conversation.<\/p>\n
\u00a0After an initial assessment by Antonio G\u00f3mez, \u00c1lex Mozas took the floor to analyze the upcoming season. True to his philosophy since arriving in Torrelavega 6 years ago, Mozas focused on \u201cimproving last season's results, that sixth place with 32 points that we achieved.\u201d Furthermore, after praising the new signings, he emphasized the role of the youth academy in this preseason. \u201cThese have been very tough weeks due to injuries, but players like Carlos, Fernando, Pedro, or Diego are contributing a lot,\u201d stated Mozas, also indicating that \u201calmost all these players are from Cantabria, continuing to develop this youth academy is another of our objectives.\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Raising his bet from last season, Jos\u00e9 L\u00f3pez has established \u201cgetting into Europe\u201d as the \u201cmain objective for this season.\u201d The Bathco manager already hinted at these intentions last season, although he admitted that \u201cit was a goal we were dreaming of until the end, despite all the adversities we suffered.\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Both the Director General of Sport and the Mayor of Torrelavega have expressed themselves along the same lines.
