Betting on innovation

Lavabo de cemento, novedad

For another year, 2017, Cevisama will be the scenario chosen by Bathco to present its latest innovations for the bathroom. Materials will be the major protagonists of the stand this year; wood, finishes that range from gold to silver, including rose gold, Swarovski crystals and even latest-generation materials like Cemlab and microcement will be on display at the most important trade show in the ceramics sector, which will be held from 20 to 24 February in Valencia.

Microcement

Bathco launches a new collection of washbasins with a surface composed of a cement base with polymers, fibres, aggregates, combined with coloured pigments, giving them a unique finish in tones that recall the earth and minerals.

Because of the particular features of microcement, very creative results can be achieved. This material is being used a great deal in the world of interior design due to its versatility, texture, finish and capacity for being combined with other materials like wood, glass or metal.

The major advantage is its resistance to water and to high temperatures. Aesthetically speaking, the use of microcement is growing because of its vanguard nature, its quality and its durability and long useful life.

New products in the Stone Series lineStone washbasin MAURITIUS black and beige

The Stone Series achieves the unpredictable and arbitrary forms of black and beige natural stone in combination. The artisanal technique and natural materials make each piece in this new catalogue something unique. In 2017, Bathco is presenting a new stone line characterised by the delicacy transmitted by the thinness of the walls of each piece.

Stainlesss steel washbasinUnique pieces (conical washbasin with a wooden pedestal)

This year Bathco has placed the focus on the design of unique pieces, with personality, which do not need to be described or integrated in any collection. This is true of the conical stainless steel washbasin on a wooden pedestal. The wooden base seems to embrace the washbasin, resulting in a harmonic whole that is balanced and attractive, where the wood and metal complement each other to perfection.  This piece also represents the resurgence of materials taking place in bathroom décor, with no need to use artifice as they shine on their own.

Awards

The Bathco stand is vying for the “Interior Design Award for the Best Stand” organised by the Official College of Interior Designers of the Community of Valencia (CDICV) at the next edition of the International Ceramics Exhibition for Architecture.

This contest evaluates the quality of the design, the originality of the stand, and the stand as a whole with its contents, developed by Paula Andrés. For this reason, besides designing an attractive stand for the visitor, it will also offer the possibility of taking part in a virtual reality experience.
