Breakthrough success for exhibitors who participated in The Big 5 Dubai 2015. According to the event director, Josin Heijmans, the increase in participation has been considerable and “it has been a strong event with good exhibitors, fantastic sponsors, and a great educational program.”.

“The Big 5 is the strongest construction fair in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia; this show is the crown jewel,” asserts the event director. Thanks to the interaction that this type of fair allows, deals have been finalized, contributing to the global economy and considerably exceeding expectations.

A large contingent of Spanish companies occupied the fifth-largest pavilion at this trade show, covering 1,202.5 square meters. A total of 62 exhibitors from Spain gathered to facilitate meetings between the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, and Spain’s Secretary of State for Trade, Jaime García-Legaz. Between 2009 and 2014, trade between these two countries increased by 90%, and based on what has been observed at this trade show, the growth is expected to be very promising in the coming years.

Visitors to the Bathco booth came in a steady stream throughout the entire trade show. Visitors from Asia stood out, accounting for 89.6% of the total. Given the nature of the trade show, the presence of the United Arab Emirates was particularly significant, followed by Saudi Arabia and Iran. We also had 5% of visitors from Africa who came from Egypt, Ghana, and Mozambique. As for Europe, visitors from Turkey and the Czech Republic were particularly notable.
