Mariscal has created a collection for Bathco in which he expresses his entire being. The designer states: “My specialty is to be creative, innovative, to stretch the language, to try to evolve codes, signs, and graphic messages. To update them. To listen, be a sponge, observe, and capture in images what society breathes, what we believe, what excites us, and the ideas that are changing. For this, I have used any system, language, or discipline that I have had at my disposal.» This philosophy is what is reflected in the Bathco by Mariscal collection.
A total of five designs make up this collection, including Trazos, a geometric design that Mariscal describes as follows: «blue is the color most used in ceramic decorations. Cobalt blue and snow white. The motif is like a recollection with a faulty memory of the geometric themes of our Arab tradition. Like a collage of different ceramic pieces found in the deep sands of Mediterranean beaches.».
The sinks in this collection have a unique and unrepeatable character thanks to the work of the artisans from the Cantabrian company; each piece is decorated with decals applied by hand. For this purpose, the old artisanal process of ceramic decoration has been recovered, betting on the value that “handmade” confers to each piece. This design can be applied to a total of ten references: New Cuenca, New Nordic, Sicily, and Toulouse in their white porcelain and natural porcelain versions, as well as the Olea rectangular and square models.
