Gold Inspiration for Bulla
María Centeno is an artist at Bathco Atelier who works primarily in the field of contemporary graphics, among other disciplines. María's research process in the Cantabrian company's studio has led her to create the Bulla washbasin, which references “homo bulla est” (man is a soap bubble), symbolizing human fragility.

The artist employs the sgraffito technique in the creation of her composition. She crafts each piece, one by one, entirely by hand, first creating a thin, uniform background of black pigment. She then proceeds with agile and fervent gestures to directly scratch, from which circular forms resembling bubbles emerge, crowding and completely filling the space. The forms provide shine, contrast, and a kinetic effect.
María Centeno's piece from the Bathco Atelier catalog is a design of pure contrast and movement; elegant, sophisticated, and avant-garde.
GOLD PROPOSAL
Bathco proposes a setting where golden elements accompany Bulla, the artwork that becomes the protagonist of this proposal.
It may seem overloaded and ostentatious, but this season gold arrives in its freshest and most updated version; knowing how to combine it achieves very elegant spaces. Furthermore, it is a shade that offers a lot of possibilities because it is very versatile, it combines with many colors and elements, and the result is usually very suitable for any space.
In cold, dimly lit interiors, the color gold adds a warm touch, like that achieved in Bulla's proposal in the Bathco Atelier catalog. The piece, hand-painted by María Centeno, coexists with gold elements found in the faucets and bathroom accessories.
