The colors and shapes of their pieces transport us to Sidi Bou Said, that coastal town located about 20 km from Tunis, where light is responsible for the magic that this idyllic place holds.
The rhythm of its streets is slow and unhurried. This tranquility is set against a pristine white backdrop, like porcelain, and a blue – in its doors as well as in the sea – as intense as the pigments present in the ambiance that Bathco proposes for you today.
This exterior repose is a sign of a more intense inner life where mosaics adorn the main rooms of the most majestic buildings, symbolizing a city that houses the largest collection of Roman mosaics; the Bardo National Museum.
Ana Exposito's Rain
Porcelain, pigments, and mosaic are the three concepts that characterize Lluvia I and Lluvia II. These works speak to how rain can have an overwhelming character, capable of shaping landscapes in a fit of fury or, conversely, being a patient artist, carving rock over time with its constant, hypnotic repetition.
