Bathco presents the IRON COLLECTION at Cevisama
Cast iron becomes the star of the new collection of fully recyclable sinks.

The company's R&D team paid special attention to the fact that the corrosion resistance of cast iron is comparable to that of steel. After months of research and development on the application of this material to the bathroom, Bathco is launching a new line of sinks made of cast iron.
The new line is manufactured entirely in a foundry in Cantabria (Spain) with metal raw materials and lead-free enamels that comply with REACH, meaning they meet EU regulations that aim to improve the protection of human health and the environment against the risks that chemicals can present.
Its main component is iron, making this collection of sinks a highly resistant and fully recyclable product. In the words of the company's sales director, Eduardo López, “We were looking for an innovative material that was also environmentally friendly. We immediately thought of iron, as it also had a great symbolic component. It is the fourth most abundant element in the Earth's crust, it is very present in our lives and possesses intrinsic characteristics such as purity, resistance and durability.”.
Bathco is launching this collection under the slogan “# to return to the earth where it belongs.” It’s a bold statement of intent that perfectly sums up this new collection of 100% recyclable sinks.
Iron is a hard and dense yet malleable material, which allows for the creation of curved shapes and the development of sinks like the BEGURSA and RIBERA. Begursa is an oval countertop sink measuring 460x320x170 mm. Ribera is also a countertop model, it is circular and measures 400x160 mm.
In addition to the natural dark gray iron finish, these sinks also appear enameled after a process at temperatures above 810ºC, following traditional manufacturing. This process consists of a double-layer enameling, first for adhesion and then for color, resulting in a white iron sink adaptable to any type of environment.
There is also the possibility to decorate the sinks. Artisans at the company's Atelier decorate by hand with decals, offering completely innovative pieces that combine tradition and modernity.
