O7 Alondra: Mediterranean design in Cala Ratjada

Just a short walk from Son Moll beach, in Cala Ratjada, Mallorca, is located O7 Alondra, a recently refurbished hotel that focuses on bright, functional spaces that reflect the island’s Mediterranean character.

The refurbishment extends throughout the guest rooms and communal areas, featuring a simple, natural aesthetic. Light colours, wood and plant-based fibres create a warm and relaxed atmosphere, whilst the design of the spaces is tailored to the needs of a hotel designed to allow guests to enjoy Mallorca’s surroundings and way of life.

A Mediterranean-inspired aesthetic

Natural light plays a central role in the hotel’s interior. Whites, beiges and sandy tones are combined with wooden finishes and natural fibre details, creating a fresh look that maintains a consistent style across the different spaces.

In the rooms, the simple, clean-lined furniture and decorative features lend a sense of warmth without overwhelming the space. This same combination is carried through to the communal areas, from reception to the restaurant and bar, creating a sense of visual continuity that accompanies guests throughout their stay.

The bathroom: functionality integrated into the design

The bathrooms reflect the design language of the rest of the project, with a clean and functional design. Light-coloured surfaces, wall-mounted fittings and showers with simple lines make the most of the space and create visually airy environments.

In this project, Bathco has been involved in supplying the Sidney toilet, chosen to fit out the hotel’s bathrooms. Its sleek design blends naturally into these spaces whilst meeting the requirements for durability, functionality and ease of maintenance typical of contract and hospitality sector projects.

The bathrooms combine light-toned surfaces, natural wood details, and soft lighting, creating environments that invite relaxation and reinforce the sense of comfort present throughout the resort.

A project linked to Mallorca

The refurbishment of O7 Alondra also sees its outdoor spaces as a natural extension of the interior. The swimming pool, terraces and various relaxation areas make the most of the climate in Cala Ratjada and they enhance that sense of light and tranquillity found throughout the hotel.

The result is a well-balanced project, in which the interior design and furnishings work together to create a comfortable experience that is in keeping with its location: a Mediterranean setting characterised by the sea, light and outdoor living.
