A date with art

Another year, ArteSantander It solidifies itself as the reference art fair in northern Spain. A total of 42 galleries have exhibited works by different national and international artists under the concept “Solo projects”.

Bathco wanted to be present at this international reference fair through Bathco Atelier, its most ambitious project to date. On this occasion, the company was responsible for setting the mood and designing the VIP area from the exhibition that served as a meeting point for gallerists, artists, and visitors. The protagonists of this space designed by Bathco were two large ceramic murals created by artists Emeric Minaya and María Centeno.

This year, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of Artesantander, Bathco wanted to be very actively present with the goal of strengthening its commitment to art and culture. To this end, it called for the 1st Edition of the Bathco Contemporary Art Awards with which he wanted to reward the best artistic project presented at Artesantander. Judas Arrieta [He/She] became the winner of this award for [his/her] work presented by the Espacio Alexandra gallery. Furthermore, this first contact between the bathroom goods manufacturing company and the artist has led to the planning of other medium-term projects that can continue to link art and the world of bathrooms. With this award, Bathco seeks to continue supporting contemporary artists who transcend borders through the quality of their work. On the other hand, these types of actions, in addition to reinforcing its commitment to art, allow Bathco to continue the strategy set by the Bathco Atelier project, with which it has taken a qualitative leap by bringing art into the everyday through its application to a bathroom product. For the deliberation of the Bathco Contemporary Art Award, a committee of experts was formed, consisting of Ana del Barrio and Marta Gómez, managers of the specialized magazine Masdearte.com; Fernando Centenera, president of Fundación Centenera and collector, and José López, general director of Bathco.
