A product for every finish
TipsWe all want our homes to look new for as long as possible, and for that, we take care of our furniture, floors, and appliances so that their finishes remain not only clean but also beautiful.
The bathroom is no exception, but moreover, in recent years it has gained greater prominence in terms of style and decoration, so it is now common to find sinks made from materials beyond ceramic or porcelain. This investment in design requires expanding knowledge to use the most suitable cleaning products and tools for each component. It is well worth a small ‘digital master's degree in care and maintenance’ for a bathroom capable of dazzling.
Today we bring you a compilation of unique materials currently used in the manufacture of sinks, along with a series of tips and tricks for their care. But first, we'll leave you with the ABCs of daily care, that is, a few small maintenance habits that will surely extend the life of your sink.
4 tips for daily care
- Use a soft cloth, mild soap, and warm water after cleaning to keep the basin clean and shiny.
- It is recommended to wipe with a dry cloth after using water to prevent lime stains from remaining on the surface.
- Avoid pouring colored liquids on or leaving stagnant water in the basin, as this may leave marks.
- Do not use cleaning products with strong acids or antioxidants, as they can damage the sink material.
And now, we're collecting some of those more special materials, as well as some tips for their maintenance:
SOLID SURFACE. For a stubborn stain on this material, use fine-grit sandpaper to lightly abrade the surface. To do this, clean the piece beforehand, dampen it slightly, and proceed with sanding while it is still wet.

COMPOSITE. For the maintenance of this material, it is perfect to use natural detergents or even homemade compositions based on vinegar or lemon water.
STONE. This type of basin requires specific treatment, which usually comes with the product itself and should be applied once a year. This will enhance the stone's color and protect it from dirt and the constant impact of water.

WOOD. To maintain the health and beauty of wood installed in washbasins or furniture, you must avoid abrasive products and understand the original character of this material.
IRON. To keep its finish intact, it's important to finish the cleaning process by drying the basin with a soft cloth that removes any limescale marks.

Artisan Finishes. When dealing with a sink that has been handcrafted, it's best to use natural and neutral products. Additionally, it is recommended to avoid using these basins to pour granular products, such as exfoliating cream residues.
