Bathrooms for two, the pleasure of sharing everyday life

For a vintage, modern, or sober style, full of color or neutral, when designing a new bathroom, it's worth considering a double vanity. Not only because it's currently a trend in decor, but also because its functionality for daily use is more than proven.

When making the decision, consider the number of bathrooms the home has, their dimensions, the intended use of each, and, importantly, the schedules of the different family members.

Regarding the size of the room, it's not only necessary to consider if it's physically possible to install two sinks but also whether the space remaining after equipping the entire bathroom allows for comfortable use by two people at the same time.

In addition to being a decoration trend, double sinks are very functional

Regarding usage, this depends greatly on the number of bathrooms and household dynamics. For instance, in a powder room located far from bedrooms, there's no inherent need for a double vanity. This system adds value in bathrooms used daily for personal grooming.

The number of family members is another point to consider. For the main bathroom, and given that it's common nowadays for both members of a couple to work outside the home, if their departure times are close to each other, having this personal space can be a real joy, as well as helping to optimize time. This also applies if there are several children in the home who have to share a bathroom. Starting or ending the day without arguments over who gets to wash their face or brush their teeth first is well worth it.

But there are reasons beyond functionality for considering a double sink at home. From an aesthetic perspective, the symmetry created by two sinks brings a sense of harmony and serenity to the space.

A perception that can be amplified or broken through elements that generate more or less independence, such as a shared or individual countertop; a large mirror or smaller compositions; and ample storage space or cozy nooks for each person... Any combination will be perfect as long as it fits your tastes and needs.
