Eclecticism at Matiuu's House
Projects, ResidentialBorja Foret and Carolina Viesca, founders of Boca Concept, incorporate in each of their creations the trends from the different cultures they have absorbed over the years, with a special focus on Indonesian and Spanish culture. So much so, that they use traditional Indonesian craft manufacturing techniques for the development of their projects, which range from furniture rental and sales to interior design.

This baggage has been captured in this Madrid home located on a street-level floor. It spans 60 square meters and is situated in the Malasaña neighborhood as a small haven of peace and detailed design. This project showcases the fluidity of movement between rooms, multifunctional spaces, and experimentation with different materials.
Upon entering the dwelling, we find a split-level living-dining-bedroom area. In the living room, there is an organically shaped sofa facing the television, and the dining table is next to the open access to the kitchen.

In an elevated area, we see the bedroom, which is separated by a yellow bookshelf perfect for easy storage. Opposite the bed, the window alcove has been used to create a bench, achieving an attractive reading nook.
The kitchen's contrast is achieved with a black wall where the appliances are placed, a facing yellow cabinet, and all on a terrazzo floor with large colorful pebbles.
From the kitchen, you access the bathroom where the same flooring continues, but this time, the walls are salmon-colored and the furniture and accessories are black. A suspended countertop was installed two Carnac sinks by Bathco.
