A memorable experience

Marcos Granda, sommelier and head of the dining room, decided to open in 2017 the Clos Restaurant in Madrid and I trust Lavela Studio to create a personalized and memorable experience for 26 people with a team of twelve professionals.

Granda defines his restaurant like this: “Clos is my ode to the art of hospitality, creativity, and a taste for wine. Even from the name, we sought to make a statement of intent. In French, the term “clos” is used to designate the best vineyards and plots, a clear hint of the respect and admiration we feel for our winery.”.

Accompanying the owner's intentions, interior designers Sandra Vergara and Raquel Lazaro from Lavela Studio propose a dining room that is not excessively large, designed with care, and in keeping with what you will find on the plate: modern food, without fuss, and with fabulous ingredients. Presiding over the main dining room is the painting «My Time» by Ainize Txopitea Artworks and the chairs of Blasco & Vila.

A small, simple corner, unpretentious, but elegant at the same time.

In the Vanitatis magazine we can read that “A small and cozy entrance bar gives way to a spacious, open, and bright dining room, with views of the kitchen and a suggestive glass-enclosed wine cellar. Spacious tables, meticulously set and conveniently distanced from each other, create pleasant and intimate private areas within the general dining room.”.

The restaurant's bathrooms

In the bathrooms, timelessness and elegance are still very present. In one of them, you can find the Black stone double vessel sink countertop and recessed faucets.

Granda's ambition was to position itself as a benchmark, not just another trendy restaurant, and it achieved this in 2019 by obtaining the Michelin Star.
