Expansion of spaces by gaining height

This comprehensive renovation in the heart of Getxo is a testament to the transformative power of interior design and architecture. With a bold vision and meticulous attention to detail, Oat Arquitectura Studio has breathed new life into this home, adapting it to the needs and tastes of its owners.

The project aimed not only to modernize the home but also to create a welcoming and light-filled atmosphere. One of the primary goals was to open up the hall, living room, and dining room spaces to achieve a sense of spaciousness and flow throughout the house. This openness not only provides a panoramic view of the garden from the entrance but also introduces an abundance of natural light, completely transforming the dwelling. The dining room, in particular, was carefully designed to maintain a balance between privacy and openness.

Another prominent feature of this renovation is the raising of the ceilings throughout the home. The inclusion of floor-to-ceiling doors not only increases ceiling height but also creates a sense of spaciousness and grandeur in each room. This architectural decision is a testament to how a simple structural change can have a significant impact on the perception of space.

In terms of design, a color palette of warm tones and carefully selected materials was chosen. This decision not only creates a welcoming atmosphere but also highlights the natural light that floods the entire home.
