An avant-garde apartment in the Eixample neighborhood
Projects, ResidentialIn the old Esquerra de l'Eixample in Barcelona, an apartment has been completely transformed by the team from Serboli Bureau, with a focus on maximizing natural light and redesigning the original layout. This project combines materials, colors and textures that stand out for both functionality and bold aesthetics.

A radical transformation
Originally designed with four rooms that fragmented the space and limited the entry of light, the apartment has been reinvented to open up to the outside. The design is organized into two clearly differentiated zones:
- Main area: Larger in size and with a lower ceiling, this space connects the kitchen with the living room and bedroom. The rough paint finish reinforces a sense of continuity and warmth.
- Secondary zone: Clad in walnut wood, this space organizes the entrance and houses the bathroom, concealing it in an elegant and functional design.

Materials and color palette
The project's palette of materials and colors reflects a duality between public and private:
- Common spaces: Neutral tones dominate, with walls in different textures of white, warm wood floors and furniture, and stone countertops in sandy tones that reinforce a serene and luminous ambiance.
- Private areas: In contrast, the bedroom and bathroom interiors feature bold colors. A pale, intense pink predominates in the bedroom, while a desaturated dark green fills the bathroom, with brushed stainless steel elements adding sophistication.

Bathroom
The bathroom in the apartment is not only a functional space, but also a design statement. The washbasin Livorno and the sanitary Elba from Bathco The clean, modern lines blend seamlessly into the dark green color scheme of the space. This bathroom demonstrates how carefully conceived design can transform even the most private corners into stylish focal points.

Designed to enjoy urban living in Barcelona, this home proves that innovative design and comfort can coexist in perfect harmony.
