Bathco South Africa
A new country joins the Bathco route
Bathco South Africa opened its doors on June 8, 2018, thanks to an agreement between the Cantabrian company and Morso Fireplaces.
The Bathco brand has successfully established itself in the African country thanks to the agreement signed with Morso Fireplaces, which becomes the official distributor of the company specializing in the bathroom sector.
Morso Fireplaces already had a close relationship with Cantabria as it has been distributing Hergom S.A. products for years, so this agreement reaffirms the South African company's interest in the work being done in this region.
The inauguration was celebrated with a series of events that took place at the company's facilities in Fourways (Johannesburg). The managing directors, Andrew Balding and Bruce Gould, and the sales director, Miguel Tavares, were the hosts.
Also attending were the CEO of Bathco, José López, and the Commercial Director, Eduardo López, as well as members of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in South Africa, such as the Economic and Commercial Advisor, Ferrán Casadevall, the Market Analyst, Rafael Martín, and the ICEX Spain Exportation and Investments internationalization intern, Marta Abad.
This way, the Cantabrian company's objective of increasing its international presence, in line with its strategy since its inception, is once again consolidated. Bathco is already present in nearly 90 countries on five continents, and with the South African opening, it has added another market where it can offer its products. This strengthens its international and export-oriented nature by offering products adapted to new markets.
At the South African exhibition, you can see porcelain sinks from the general catalog, as well as steel and aluminum sinks, and a significant selection of toilets.
The most special collections of the Cantabrian company are also present through pieces from the Natural Series collection. Solid Surface features sinks and the Pretoria bathtub from Dadoquartz. Regarding the stone pieces, the managers of Morso Fireplaces have indicated that these models are “truly an inspiration. The color and characteristics of each stone block vary in each one, which beautifies it and enhances the value of natural stone.”.
The brilliance of the Gold & Silver collection also caught the attention of South Africans, as did Swarovski, whom they described as “the perfect pairing of product and craftsmanship. Absolutely stunning.”.
This attraction to hand-decorated pieces and the appreciation for “Made in Spain” have led to the Vintage & More collection also being chosen to be showcased in the African country, featuring a selection of sinks decorated with recovered decals.
CERSAIE 2018
Bathco will present its new products at Cersaie from September 24th to 28th. The 36th edition of this international fair will showcase the Cantabrian company's innovations in Hall 21, Stand B21, where the pieces made by hand in the company's Atelier will be the stars: sinks with high-temperature treated glazes or pigments to achieve new finishes that simulate terrazzo or crackled effects. The pieces from the new Natural Series catalog will also be on display, as well as new models that will be exclusively presented at the Italian fair.
Bathco is present at this fair thanks to the collaboration of the Federation of Bathroom Equipment Associations (FEBAN), which organizes the joint participation of Spanish Bathroom Equipment companies at Cersaie. The Cantabrian company is part of this initiative, which is included in the bathroom sector's 2018 external promotion plan and has the support and collaboration of ICEX-Spain Trade and Investments.
