Beauty and nobility

Tips

Biophilic designs are trend in 2022 as we could read in the post we published in January. These designs are what help us reconnect with nature using its shapes and materials responsibly to choose pieces that accompany us in our daily lives.

Undoubtedly, wood is one of the noblest materials we can find and has many applications in decoration. It is increasingly being used in bathrooms to add a warmer touch. A good way to make its presence felt is by installing countertops that highlight its nobility and texture to create avant-garde bathrooms.

Acacia countertops

Acacia wood in its most original state possible is a wise choice. Its hardness and resistance can be seen in the countertop placed in the bathroom of a home in Pontones (Cantabria) renovated by the study of Macarena Barcia and where do we see her next to the stone river sink, which once again winks at nature by being a hollowed-out natural stone.

The simplicity and vitality of acacia countertops are once again seen in the bathroom of the house who created Federica Barbaranelli in Novales and in the Daria Restaurant in Santander.

Tamarind countertop

Another type of wood to highlight is tamarind. Its grain is full of history. Its accumulated sap is produced in tropical areas, and it originates from Africa, spreading to Asia and America. Unique countertops are created with it thanks to its original and distinctive patterns.

Teak log countertop

Teak wood stands out for its resistance and natural durability in extreme climatic conditions. Its rarity gives it a unique personality. Thanks to it, you can find countertops with a very wild design.
