Caser Residential Málaga: architecture for senior wellbeing
Projects, Contract
In a context marked by an ageing population, care architecture takes on a structural role. It is not just a question of providing accommodation, but of improving quality of life, promoting independence and preserving dignity.
The residence of Caser Residencial en Málaga, designed by Rafael de la-Hozresponds to this new generation of spaces for the senior community.
With a surface area of 7,457 m² and capacity for 156 people, the building is designed with a modular, functional approach that is deeply connected to its surroundings.
Biophilic design and connection with the outdoors
The project prioritises the user experience through a biophilic design where courtyards, gardens, terraces and green areas are present on all floors and in all rooms.
Integration with the outside world is not merely decorative:
promotes interaction, improves emotional wellbeing and brings natural light and ventilation to interior spaces.
Functionality in every detail
In this care context, bathrooms are an essential part of residents' independence.
Bathco supplied the washbasins for the project, integrating the Oslo model, a solution tailored to:
-
Accessible spaces
-
Intensive daily use
-
Efficient maintenance
-
Consistency with contemporary architecture
In environments where rehabilitation and functional recovery are priorities, design must accompany movement and facilitate assistance.
Architecture that cares
The residence incorporates a strong technological and functional component geared towards motor and neurological rehabilitation, combining energy efficiency and comfort.
The objective of Rafael de la-Hoz's study was clear: to create an environment that not only accommodates, but also cares for.
Bathco's involvement is part of its experience in contract projects for the healthcare and senior living sector, where technical reliability is as important as architectural integration.
