Cozy Bunker

Projects, Hospitality

At the epicenter of innovation, the creative studio WANNA for Formica Group surprises us with its latest creation: Cozy Bunker. Located in the majestic Trinity Palace during Casa Decor 2024, This project completely redefines the traditional concept of a bunker, merging structural solidity with captivating aesthetics.

In a world marked by uncertainty, anxiety, and fragility, bunker construction has gained relevance in the global real estate sector. In this context, WANNA posed an essential question: how can interior design transform these shelters into spaces that not only ensure survival but also promote emotional well-being?

The design of Cozy Bunker is based on principles such as variations in height, structural solidity, indirect light, and volumetrics. Access to the space is through a passageway that appears to be carved into rock with hanging vegetation, suggesting a connection with nature. The journey culminates in the shelter itself, an enveloping and warm space, imbued with reddish hues and a subdued atmosphere.

Inside the bunker, the visitor is immersed in a minimalist room where the living and resting area stands out, presided over by a large sofa and a floating bunk bed. Complementing the ambiance, there is a desk, a recessed fireplace, and a bathtub with Bathco faucets. The exit from the bunker is via a small ladder that invites reconnection with the outside world, raising one's gaze towards the daylight.

In summary, Cozy Bunker is a unique experience that challenges conventions and redefines the concept of an underground shelter, demonstrating that innovation and design can transform even the most unexpected spaces into welcoming and comfortable environments.
