Daria, flavorful cuisine
Projects, HospitalityDARIA is Nacho del Corral's new restaurant in Santander, which Bathco Atelier has worked on. The work consists of three wall pieces, two ceramic pieces, and two decorated sinks.
One of the interventions is located at the entrance to the bathrooms and was created by Cecilio Espejo with strokes of black, white, and a greenish-blue or viridian tone matching the bathroom tiles. The other two interventions are in the upper dining room. Sardines on the main wall and artichokes, tomatoes, and onions in another corner. Next to the sardine mural, ceramic pieces were placed; two plates intervened with ceramic transfers that continue the aesthetic of the bathroom entrance.
In the women's restroom, you can find a raw porcelain New Toulouse sink with a pink microcement finish, while in the men's restroom, a raw grey microcement Lys sink was installed. These were created by Emeric Minaya and María Centeno, who also applied the restaurant's logo using ceramic decals and decorated the pieces with phrases referencing the pleasure of gastronomy.
The result of this entire process is two pieces that realistically convey the visual and textural characteristics of microcement, a highly trendy material in interior design.
