The study MADE Bcn You are facing the renovation of a 60m2 apartment in the Ensanche district of Barcelona, which has three bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a living-dining room. One of the biggest attractions of this property is access to a continuous balcony facing northwest from several rooms.

The first decision MADE BCN took was to get rid of all the fragmented and small-sized spaces to dignify the main rooms, giving them great spaciousness and natural flow, leaving only the living room, bedroom, and kitchen.

Thanks to an underutilized space in the entryway, a guest bathroom and a closet were incorporated, all integrated into a wooden panel facade that unifies the space. In the guest bathroom, a Bathco Solid Surface Polaris sink.

The entire floor materialization is conceived as one of the most important and meticulous works to convey sensitivity and respect for the aesthetic of the Eixample. The home is an eclectic and very personal mix of different styles, Mediterranean, industrial, and rustic, which coexist and enhance each other.

The painted wooden exterior carpentry is preserved as a trace of the existing, and ceramic mosaics are juxtaposed with woods of different textures and a spectacular concrete countertop that appears immediately upon entering. The result is a generous, continuous, and luminous space with every corner meticulously detailed.
