From corridors to open spaces
Projects, ResidentialIn the heart of Madrid, this house has undergone a remarkable transformation at the hands of Dorotea Estudio. After an ambitious nine-month renovation, the residence presents itself as an open and welcoming space.

The owners, seeking a barrier-free home, opted for an open layout, eliminating hallways and nooks. This accessibility-focused approach resulted in a home centered around a children's bedroom, with large windows connecting every corner to the lush garden and a generous swimming pool.

The design palette stands out with the choice of a light porcelain floor that flows uniformly throughout the house, creating a sense of continuity and brightness. Natural beams and wood add a warm touch, while the clever living room furniture, designed by Dorotea Estudio, combines functionality and aesthetics by concealing the television.

The open-plan kitchen, with white cabinetry and a spacious island, seamlessly integrates with the living room, offering a cozy space for long after-dinner conversations that extend to the porch. The custom-made furniture, designed to avoid standard solutions, adds a distinctive touch to every corner.

Each bedroom reflects the same careful aesthetic, from the charming house-shaped children's bed to the doorless bathroom, designed to maximize the feeling of spaciousness and connection with the surroundings, which features the New Lys basin.

with an en-suite bathroom that features the New Lys Cru sink, this specific corner personifies attention to detail and creativity.

Every detail, from the choice of flooring to the ingenious design of the spaces, testifies to the convergence of creativity and practicality in the art of interior design.
