Musica en Grande, a festive and musical week by the bay
AtelierBathco was present at the ninth edition of “Música en Grande,” a benchmark music event in northern Spain held for a week at the Campa de La Magdalena in the city of Santander.
The Música en Grande 2017 festival kicked off on Thursday, July 20th, at the Campa de La Magdalena in Santander with performances by Dorian, Miss Caffeina, Bambikina, and DJ’s from Mars, who provided the soundtrack for the first night of concerts. This served as an appetizer to an intense program that included 17 bands and artists, offering more than 30 hours of live music over five days. Bathco set up the restroom area for the festival's VIP zone with a mural accompanied by two sinks decorated with marine motifs that came alive to the beat of the most popular groups of the moment.
The festival poster served as inspiration for this work filled with colorful seaweed, sponges, and starfish, all modeled in porcelain and placed on tiles. Centered between the two mirrors, the event logo was placed using ceramic decals designed, printed, and applied by the workshop's artists.
