New pharmacy concept
Projects, ContractThe Pharmacy of the Countess of León completely renovated its facilities thanks to a comprehensive renovation led by the studio Andrea Muñoz Design and commissioned by Construcciones Valentín Andrés.
The project was quite a challenge, due to the architectural characteristics of the space which had very low height in the part closest to the facade and a double-height space in the rear. For this reason, for the interior design, Andrea Muñoz's team sought a palette of luminous materials that would bring clarity to the whole and paid great attention to the use of lighting thanks to ACB Lighting e IFS Sustainable Future Lighting.
Warm materials were chosen, such as wood and fibers, giving a natural and relaxed character to the interior. Combined with the relaxing bluish tones of the walls and finishes, this creates an approachable atmosphere for customers and enhances the natural products for sale. For the flooring and cladding, materials were sourced from VIVES Ceramics.
From a functional standpoint, the pharmaceutical company's intention, following the trend of current needs for establishments of this type, was to dedicate a large surface area to product display and thus reduce backroom space. In this way, the old partitions that subdivided the spaces were eliminated, leaving a large, open exhibition and service area without visual barriers. Thus, a whole row of display shelves, custom-made by Concept, occupy the perimeter of the store, leaving the center for a large island of personalized attention, dedicated to a texture bar where customers can try cosmetic products and receive individualized advice.
This island is completely covered with small-format tiles in bluish tones that go down and turn into carpet. On the island is placed the Solid Surface Washbasin and wood with white faucets serving as a wash area for staff and customers. There you can see two Pedrali stools.
In the double-height space, we find a small house made of wood and glass that serves to provide privacy for dietary consultations or pharmaceutical care. Above it, a large flock of birds made of wood and intertwined with paper vines flies over the space, giving it the bucolic touch that was sought with the project. The counter area is equipped with a custom-made piece covered in Orac, lacquered in blue, which becomes the center of attention. A panel behind it divides it from the back room. The upper floor currently houses the small laboratory where they prepare master formulas and an office area.
Lastly, all signage and communication, handled by Vinílica Producciones, has been created ad-hoc with neon signs, Scrabble-style signs, and wooden letter signs, which provide luminosity and personality to the space, making product discovery easy and very visual.
Ultimately, the space has gone from being dark and dismal to a welcoming area, filled with light and small details, where one can enjoy a very pleasant customer experience.
