Oliva de in56 House

Projects, Residential

The comprehensive renovation of Casa Oliva launched by in56 It stands out for its careful details, warmth, and harmony, achieved through its colors and materials. On the central General Concha street in Bilbao, we see this apartment whose hall leads to a living room that shares space with the dining room, kitchen, and an office. From there, you access the sleeping area where there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Without a doubt, the true star of this home is the kitchen for many reasons. The in56 team comments that they placed “one microcement island which integrates with the ceiling and walls, as well as the sink and shelves. The rest is in clear lacquer and stained oak wood”.

Additionally, they opted for“one metal lattice floor-to-ceiling with a large sliding door that opens the kitchen to the living room. We also include a swing door that connects the patio to the hallway and gives access to the private area of the house.”.

To make the most of the space, they did“one large closet from floor to ceiling, which is behind the island, conceals the laundry room”.

Lighting is one of the key points in any interior architecture project, and that's why they didn't hesitate to install a “square grid with overhead lighting that simulates the effect of a real skylight”.

And without a doubt, what makes this space unique is the majestic olive tree What“enhances an elegant and cozy atmosphere, connecting us with nature and, at the same time, helping to define different spaces, thus becoming the protagonist of the decoration and interior design of the entire home”This tree served as the inspiration for the entire project due to its green and yellow tones, and the blend of natural woods and fibers. They are the common thread of the new decor.

The living room

Sharing space with the dining room, we find the spacious living room that offers us wrap it with that evocation of nature with the presence of the olive tree., and again, green tones, terracottas, and noble materials like the wood that also covers the ceiling. The black metals and the chocolate brown tone are found in small elements like the lattice that separates the kitchen from the living room, the handles, and the light fixtures.

On their main wall, they installed a bookshelf that serves as storage, a decorative element, and illuminates the space thanks to the LED strips on its shelves.

In addition to the lighting – enhanced with many perimeter LED strips on all shelves – it was also essential to create A cozy and elegant home, of a contemporary style. Something that is reflected in the careful selection of furniture.

Salon de 56 Interior Design

We also found an integrated office in the living room with a custom-designed piece of furniture that, in addition to concealing the upper beam, houses a bookshelf area with interior lighting and storage on the sides. There you can see a table designed by the studio itself with a Dekton countertop manufactured by @amboage.sl. The Alia armchair is made of Andreu World and the table lamp and integrated spotlights Tao. The curtains are signed Screens and papers.

The guest bathroom

Next to the office is one of the bathrooms in the house that allowed the in56interiorimo team to “They are daring and seek uniqueness. It features an elongated hexagonal ceramic tile in different tones that doesn't go all the way to the top. The high ceilings allow us to place a different finish on the upper part; in this case, it's a green microcement, which complements the overall tone of the rest of the home.”.

If we look closely, we see that the bathroom cabinet has the channel detail in terracotta color, matching the cemlab sink by Bathco Pesquera.

Master bedroom

In the bedrooms, the same inspiration of olive groves has been sought, and all share A serene environment with green tones and wood as protagonists.

The owners had the need to “make the most of every space in the bedroom, and to achieve this, we opted to install built-in wardrobes even on the walls with windows, thereby increasing storage capacity while also creating very cozy seating areas. Finally, we opted to install wooden blinds on the windows to further enhance the cube effect.”.

As a fun fact, the circular side tables designed by the members of in56 with integrated switches and outlets are noteworthy.

Master bathroom

In the master bedroom's bathroom, you can see a clear example of how details are as important as the entire decor or finishes.

The furniture designed by in56 is custom-made by Amboage. The countertop Dekton it integrates with the microcement walls of the bathroom and on top of it is placed the Bathco matte black Dinan sink.

Shooters Formani are a set of bedroom doors but in black and the lighting fixture is manufactured by Tao.

Teen bedrooms

Trying to adjust all spaces from the global to the minimal detail is a value always present in the Biscayan studio. That is why the two youth bedrooms in Casa Oliva combine perfectly with the rest of the home, both in tones and in materials and textures.

Both bedrooms are symmetrical and designed in a very similar way. In the case of the bedroom shown in the photograph, the color focuses on the wallpaper on the upper part, and on the lower part, we placed a milled wooden headboard with ambient lighting.

Carnac Washbasin

In the third bathroom of the house, we see two natural porcelain Carnac sinks on a brown vanity.
