Paradisus by Meliá Fuerteventura: Design and Well-being Facing Sotavento Beach
Projects, Hospitality
In the south of Fuerteventura, next to the emblematic Sotavento beach, is located Paradisus by Meliá Fuerteventura, a resort that reinterprets the concept of luxury through its connection with the environment. Surrounded by one of the most unique landscapes in the Canary Islands, where dunes, ocean, and light set the pace of the place, the hotel has been conceived as a space of calm, well-being, and experiences linked to the destination.
The recent transformation of the establishment has resulted in a five-star resort that features architecture and interior design inspired by the island's nature. Sandy hues, mineral textures, natural wood, and large openings to the outside create a serene atmosphere that blurs the lines between the hotel and its surrounding landscape.
Inspiration from the landscape
The hotel's prime location, facing one of the most spectacular beaches in the Canary Islands and within a protected natural environment, has served as the starting point for a project that emphasizes the relationship between architecture, design, and nature.
Each space has been designed to reinforce the connection with the landscape, bringing the essence of the island indoors through natural materials, soft colors, and a careful selection of elements that provide warmth and balance.
The bathroom as an extension of the experience
Far from being understood as a merely functional space, the resort bathrooms are part of the wellness experience that defines the project. The spacious countertops, the use of natural materials, and the careful selection of equipment aim to bring the same sense of serenity indoors that the views of the ocean and the volcanic landscape of Fuerteventura offer.
In this context, Bathco has participated by supplying more than 300 Nilo sinks, installed in the rooms and suites of the complex. Its design of straight lines and balanced proportions integrates naturally into the hotel's aesthetic proposal, where formal simplicity and material harmony contribute to creating bright and timeless spaces.
The bathrooms combine light-toned surfaces, natural wood details, and soft lighting, creating environments that invite relaxation and reinforce the sense of comfort present throughout the resort.
A project connected with its environment
Beyond its facilities and services, Paradisus by Meliá Fuerteventura finds its identity in the constant relationship with its surrounding landscape. The light, the views, the materials, and the careful selection of each interior element contribute to creating serene spaces that reflect the island's character.
A project where the design does not seek to impose itself on the environment, but to accompany it, turning the stay into an experience closely linked to Fuerteventura and the unique natural beauty of Sotavento beach.
