Personalization as the key to interior design

Stories

In the world of interior design, each project is a reflection of the personality and needs of those who inhabit it. On this occasion, we speak with Luana García, interior designer of the Aedificare studio, to learn more about their design philosophy, the importance of personalization, and their work with Bathco Atelier.

A study that highlights personalization

Aedificare is an interior design studio that combines design with project execution. Their specialty not only covers the creation of homes, hotels, restaurants, or clinics, but also the renovation of old houses. This approach allows them to transform spaces with meticulous attention to detail, adapting each project to the specific needs of their clients.

Customization is a central pillar of Aedificare's philosophy. «Our way of working is like tailoring a suit for each client,» he explains. Luana. To achieve this, they need suppliers who offer multiple options and materials that allow them to adapt to the expectations of each project. Variety in finishes and designs is key to ensuring that each space is unique and represents the identity of those who enjoy it.

The bathroom: a leading space

Often relegated to the background in interior design projects, the bathroom holds a place of great importance in Aedificare's designs. «For us, the bathroom is a key element where we can allocate aesthetic resources that we don't always use elsewhere in the home,» notes Luana. In many of their projects, this room becomes an unexpected surprise, featuring innovative materials and striking designs. An example of this is the Ofelia's Clinic, where the bathroom was conceived as the surprise element of the project.

The choice of materials is fundamental in bathroom design, as each project has its own character. «Designing a Mediterranean bathroom, where a stone sink fits perfectly, is not the same as designing a bathroom in a clinic, where porcelain or metal might be more suitable,» explains Luana. In this regard, Bathco offers an extensive catalog with materials such as stone, solid surface, and metal, providing the versatility that interior designers need.

Working with Bathco Atelier

One of Aedificare's most special projects has been the restaurant The Flyer, where the artists from Bathco Atelier played a fundamental role. «We wanted the strong point of the project to be a huge mural that would evoke the old facades of Santander, with those Portuguese murals that we like so much,» says Luana. To achieve this, they collaborated closely with the artists from the Atelier, who hand-painted 512 tiles to bring the idea to life. «The process was super fun and easy, and the result couldn't have been more spectacular,» she states.

For Aedificare, working with a company like Bathco, which values design and customization, is a great advantage. «It's fortunate to have Bathco here in Cantabria; for us, it's an indispensable resource,» Luana concludes.

From Aedificare, they show us that interior design goes beyond aesthetics: it's a combination of creativity, functionality, and, above all, a deep connection with each client's desires. And on that path, customization and the choice of materials play an essential role in achieving spaces with soul.
