Sustainable and with natural materials
Projects, Hospitalityinterior design and lighting project of the Hotel Orangine by Amara Hotels It was quite an experience for Mercè Rafecas Design Studio next to OUA architecture and urbanism.
The Amara Hotels chain is very clear that it wants to offer a unique hotel experience, encompassed in good taste and complying with all the precepts of sustainability and good practices. This is clearly evident in Orangine Hotel, a new boutique space located in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona.
The 4-star hotel was born from the transformation of an industrial building from 1957, with the goal of turning it into a 21st-century building. Amara Hotels states that “The hotel exceptionally meets all the traveler's needs. Its rooms are spacious and modern, with a contemporary style inspired by Barcelona's architecture. Furthermore, the hotel operates on renewable energy, making it a next-generation establishment.

The contemporary style is achieved thanks to a well-thought-out interior design project. The Mercè Rafecas Design Studio team relies on natural materials, visual and sensory warmth, the value of space, levels of transparency, and defined complementary colors that balance the atmosphere.

The natural materials are back in the bathrooms, and an example of this is Carnac natural porcelain sinks by Bathco that are placed on a gray countertop accompanied by black faucets.
