Tabarlot

We are in the old and bustling center of Barcelona, right in the heart of La Rambla, near the Liceu theater. In one of the narrow streets that lead into the intimacies of the Catalan capital. It was there, in April 2015, that Tabarlot was born, a tapas bar designed by Batua Interiores Creativos. The commission came with a very clear objective: to create a young and lively space where one could enjoy a combination of vermouths, craft beers, quality preserved goods, and excellent ham.

Projects, Hospitality

To achieve this, a space was designed where it's clear that the preserved food or the can containing it becomes the main focus. Cans and hams come to life, enclosed in cages that preside over the two large bars, each specializing in a star dish. The space coexists rough and rugged materials like micro-cement and electro-welded mesh with noble and warm materials like oak wood. This pairing is constant, even in the bathroom where metal grates and porcelain coexist. Gomera sink belonging to Bathco's mini collection, a perfect piece for small spaces.
