The dream of living in Sierra de Guadarrama
Projects, ResidentialIn Los Molinos, a picturesque village in the Guadarrama mountain range, a family from Madrid found their ideal refuge. With a deep emotional attachment to the area, they decided to build their dream home on a large plot of land. To do so, they relied on the Study by María del Valle, responsible for the interior layout, functional design and aesthetics of this 350-square-meter home.

Architecture in harmony with the environment
From the very beginning, the integration of the landscape was essential in the design. Priority was given to the entry of natural light and the optimization of views towards iconic points of the Sierra de Madrid. Floor-to-ceiling windows, wide enclosures and black carpentry were combined with reclaimed wood, creating an elegant contrast with the local stone and providing modernity without losing the rustic essence.

The heart of the house is a double-height space that connects the two floors, illuminated by a wide corridor with glass railings. This solution allows light to flow between the levels, while a fixed window in the master bedroom offers uninterrupted views of the garden and pool, reinforcing the visual connection with the outdoors.
Natural materials and warm finishes
The materials selected emphasize naturalness and comfort. The floor is covered with natural slate on the first floor and oak wood on the upper floor, creating a sense of continuity. The bathrooms stand out for their large-format porcelain tiles, which imitate natural textures such as wood, creating warm and cozy spaces.

The guest bathroom is one of the most special spaces in the house. Here, the protagonist is the Rio washbasin by Bathco, made of natural stone, which adds texture and authenticity to the environment. The choice of this washbasin, together with neutral tones and wood details, turns the bathroom into a warm and welcoming space, ideal for receiving guests.

Spaces for enjoyment
The kitchen combines modernity and rusticity with a laurel green design and natural oak details. The space is functional and elegant, perfect for family life.

The garden, with a clear pool and stone walls, evokes Mediterranean landscapes. The covered porch is a privileged place to enjoy the views and has custom-designed armchairs, offering a unique corner for relaxation and contemplation.
