The magic of interior design in a Barcelona penthouse apartment

This raw gem of interior design, a 150m2 attic, patiently awaited its transformation until someone turned to the Nice Home Bcn interior design team to unveil its true potential. The attic had a peculiar layout, with long hallways and two floors, filled with dark furniture, outdated fixtures, and a terrace enclosed with aluminum. The result was a space lacking charm, oppressive, and unattractive.

Designer Dara, upon observing the property, glimpsed the potential hidden behind its walls and furniture. Thus, the project that would completely change the appearance and functionality of the place was born.

The original structure of the home was largely preserved, but it was decided to transform the living-dining room following the philosophy of OPEN CONCEPT. A unique space was created that integrated the living room, dining room, and kitchen, connecting these areas with a beautiful open terrace to gain light and panoramic views.

Custom furniture, such as the impressive fireplace bookcase and the kitchen, was designed to ensure that each piece fit the space perfectly. Where the kitchen used to be, a spacious double bathroom was installed with two sinks. New Lys.

All ceilings were opened up to achieve a height of over 3 meters, classic cornices were installed, and natural oak flooring was chosen. The antique wooden interior carpentry with period details was meticulously restored, and all knobs were replaced.

The old, narrow staircase leading to the upper floor was opened up and modernized. A new room was created on the upper floor, a small bathroom where a sink fit perfectly. Mini Lys and a custom laundry room, from which you can enjoy sea views and another wonderful terrace with a 360-degree panoramic view.

In the bathrooms, antique and custom-made bathroom furniture was selected. In fact, in a third bathroom with Dinan washbasin a rustic imitation faucet was installed. Every detail of this home was carefully considered and made into a unique and special feature.

The chosen style for the home is timeless, with rustic and classic touches that incorporate elements such as wood, iron, and natural textiles like linen.

Thanks to this interior design project, the spectacular penthouse has been transformed into a true gem, revealing its potential and hidden charm.
