Tropical airs in France
AtelierTo set the scene for a stand of Aquatop by JS, a Bathco client in Rennes, the team thought of the work that the artists do at Bathco Atelier and asked for a design that could be applied to both a mural and a washbasin. The artists decided to create a tropical setting combining vegetation and pink flamingos. This design was applied to a 40 x 40 cm. tile mural as well as to the New Lys porcelain sink.
To create this ambience, the artists of the Bathco workshop were inspired by the exotic vegetation of the Caribbean, one of the places where common flamingoes live.
These birds are tall and slender, with very long legs and neck, and a characteristic downward curved beak, they also have a very characteristic pinkish plumage. For all these reasons, they become the protagonists of this work.

To develop this work, Bathco Atelier's artists digitally redesigned the images and captured them on ceramic decals. These were applied manually on 40 x 40 cm. tiles and the New Lys washbasin.
