Renovating spaces: From a dream to a reality

When a family is looking to give their home a fresh look, it's crucial to have interior design professionals who can make their dreams a reality. In this case, a family in Santander approached the interior design studio Aedificare with the desire to add more brightness, expand the spaces, and completely renew the aesthetics of their home, which had become outdated.

From the first meeting with the family, it was clear the importance of teamwork to achieve the desired design goals. One of the key decisions was to maintain and restore the herringbone flooring of the home, as it added a touch of charm and elegance. Additionally, the decision was made to eliminate unnecessary hallways and zone the different areas of the house, allowing for better space distribution and a sense of spaciousness.

Regarding the finishes, the decision was made to bring a sense of warmth in contrast to the initial aesthetic of the home. The selected materials and textures, such as wood and soft fabrics, created a cozy and pleasant atmosphere throughout the house. The combination of light and neutral colors helped to increase the brightness and the feeling of spaciousness in each area.

In the renovation process, the bathrooms became design highlights. Every element, from the tiles to the fixtures, was meticulously chosen with special attention to detail. The goal was to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that reflected the family's personality and tastes.

For both bathrooms, we used the Torino built-in washbasin, perfectly matching the structures they designed for the bathroom. The girls' bathroom is particularly noteworthy for its combination of pastel colors, with marble finishes and cement tones.
