Winery in Spain, a project of the land

Atelier

The solidity of the earth and its strata provide us with robust and vital vines. These supply us with an exquisite fruit that will be aged in wooden barrels and, with due time, will gift us a delicious wine for our delight that will emerge from this winery.

Among these vineyards we find our winery, with a vanguardist air without losing its past and tradition, surrounded by an incomparable natural landscape. A space in wood, formed by cubes, subtractions, and voids, articulates the entire building. Where light is managed by indirect openings that filter it and make it bathe the cubicles in a gentle and tranquil way. Between the earth and the wood, the interior designer saw the need to contrast with other materials that would complement and evoke the place where this winery is located. Therefore, she opted for ceramic elements, designed and custom-made, with her own stamp.

The result is a series of sinks painted by the artist, representing the different strata of the earth and the elements involved in the winemaking process. To achieve this, the ceramic itself was colored with hues reminiscent of different types of wine and with the blue of water, which is as important for the grape growing process as it is for the functionality of the sink.

A mural was needed at the entrance to the tasting area, serving as a prelude and connecting it to the outdoors. It was to be a panoramic view of the surroundings with an old-fashioned feel, evoking the past. To achieve this, the artist drew inspiration from 19th-century engravings of grape harvesting.
