With a sea view
Projects, HospitalityThe study of Jose Barea Architects was selected to completely renew the image of Maremar Restaurant, located on the Pinedo (Valencia) promenade. The restaurant is located in a setting where The sea is the protagonist And this has been the starting point for the project's design. A space is proposed full of maritime connotations that convey to the client the essence of the environment in which it is located.

The space is configured by locating the main living area on the side closest to the sea, thus favoring views and ventilation. The service area is on the opposite side.
This main hall is characterized by the ceiling design, formed by wooden planks arranged in a way that subtly symbolizes the hull of a ship, through which indirect lighting is integrated.
The materials and tones used are inspired by the deep maritime heritage of the place. The bluish and greenish hues, the separation of spaces with ropes, and the choice of furniture are clear references to the importance of the sea in the restaurant.
The intention is to create an open and permeable space where the client can quickly identify the different areas of the restaurant, maintaining cohesion between all the elements that make up the project and generating spaces that envelop the user with the sensation of being by the sea.
In the bathroom, the blue and green tones so characteristic of the sea remain, as does the wood typical of boats. A natural wood countertop includes two Catania black stone sinks.
