The solidarity organization LPLV and BATHCO will be present at the TITAN DESERT 2014
BATHCO and the LUCHAMOS POR LA VIDA Association signed a collaboration agreement this morning to launch a new solidarity project:
We are fighters, we are titans.
Foundation
This is a tribute to cancer patients and their families who, during their illness, face one of the toughest trials of their lives.
To do this, the LUCHAMOS POR LA VIDA Association, with the sponsorship of BATHCO, wanted to carry out A challenge of overcoming and effort in recognition of the daily fight for life by cancer patients and their families..
This challenge will consist of participating in the TITAN DESERT 2014 race.
This test is an international benchmark as it is the competition of Toughest mountain bike (MTB) in the world, a 6-stage mountain bike race in the Moroccan desert during the first week of May, with a route of over 680 kilometers. Considered as the “Bike Dakar”is a race open to amateur participants but that attracts major figures from professional cycling due to its characteristics and toughness.
The team
As representatives of the BATHCO-LUCHAMOS POR LA VIDA team, two proven fighters in sports and even more so for their personal experience have been selected: Felipe Fernández Pérez and Álvaro Postigo, husband and brother-in-law respectively of Almudena Ruiz Pellón, the precursor of the Luchamos Por La Vida Association.
Preparation
In the coming months, long days of training and preparation await them to reach peak condition by May, but the BATHCO-LUCHAMOS POR LA VIDA team will not be alone. Regular followers of the LUCHAMOS POR LA VIDA Association and BATHCO will be able to follow them not only through their social media and usual channels, but also through the blog http://somosluchadoressomostitanes.wordpress.com and the Vimeo channel created specifically for this project.
TITANDESERT 2014
The race attracts participants from all corners of the globe. In addition to Spanish participants, it already has registrants from Venezuela, Colombia, Argentina, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Morocco, and even from New Zealand, Kuwait, or Peru. By December 1, 2013, they had exceeded 300 registrants.

BATHCO has previously participated as a collaborator in the solidarity march that LUCHAMOS POR LA VIDA annually organizes with the Local Board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer of Los Corrales de Buelna, which in its last edition gathered more than 5,000 people.
