Bathco shares in the overall success of this trade show, which this year drew more than 80,000 visitors, surpassing last year’s excellent figures. Numerous industry professionals and companies visited the company’s booth, resulting in a 25% increase in visitors compared to the previous year.
In the words of its CEO, José López, “Nationally, this fair has served to strengthen commercial relationships with our clients, who are surprised year after year by our capacity to bring new products to market. On the other hand, he affirms that “internationally, Cevisama has been key to closing new agreements and increasing our presence in markets as significant as the American continent and the Middle East."”.
In terms of numbers, the most significant development was the presence of major companies from Europe, which accounted for 50 % of the international visitors to the Bathco booth. Also noteworthy were the contacts made with companies from Asia (27%) and the Americas (10%).
Likewise, the company's business director, Eduardo López, emphasizes that “Cevisama showcases the evolution occurring in the bathroom sector. Architects, decorators, and interior designers have become the best specifiers of our products. They are the most interested in learning about the new products we present each year, as evidenced by the numerous contacts generated at our stand this year.”.
News presented
Bathco's big bet at Cevisama this year has been the presentation of new materials. The company's research efforts have made it possible to launch materials such as microcement, steel, and aluminum, as well as attractive finishes that aim to become trends, included in its Gold & Silver and Swarovski collections.
The originality in the design of many of the presented pieces has also caught visitors' attention. One example is the wooden countertops and furniture, which stand out for their adaptability to all types of environments. Stone, cement, terrazzo, and Solid Surface are making a strong comeback in the new Natural Series collection.
Microcement
Bathco presented a new collection of sinks featuring a coating made of a cementitious base with polymers, fibers, and aggregates, combined with colored pigments. This gives them a unique finish in tones reminiscent of earth and minerals.
Thanks to the unique properties of microcement, very creative results can be achieved. This material is being widely used in interior design due to its versatility, texture, finish, and ability to combine with other materials such as wood, glass, or metal.
Natural Series – New Collection
The new pieces in this collection, presented for the first time at Cevisama, have been designed by Pascual Salvador, a renowned architect and industrial designer.
The new Stone series from Natural Series captures the unpredictable and arbitrary shapes of natural black and beige stone, combining them. The artisanal technique and natural materials make each piece in this new catalog unique. In 2017, Bathco presents a new stone line characterized by the delicacy conveyed by the wall thickness in each piece.
The new sinks in solid surface and cement surprise with their delicate shapes and the versatility they offer when combined with new supports and furniture.
Metals are gaining prominence
Metals and metallic finishes have become a trend that has arrived in the bathroom sector to stay. Bathco joins the Metallic Look and presents a whole line of new products in steel and aluminum. If anything characterizes steel, it is its hardness and resistance. This metal retains the properties of pure iron, but the addition of carbon and other elements improves its physicochemical properties.
For its part, aluminum is an element that stands out for its lightness and malleability, allowing for unique shapes to be created. Bathco is launching a line of aluminum sinks onto the market that come in two types of finishes: polished aluminum and “aged” or rustic aluminum, which gives the piece a very special character.
Unique pieces: conical sink with wooden stand.
This year, Bathco has focused on designing unique pieces with personality that do not need to be described or be part of any collection. This is the case of the conical steel sink on a wooden pedestal. The wooden support appears to embrace the fixture, resulting in a harmonious, balanced, and attractive ensemble where wood and metal complement each other perfectly. This piece also represents the resurgence of materials, which are making their way into bathroom decor without the need for artifices; they shine on their own.
Gold & Silver Collection
Bathco took advantage of the Cevisama fair to present the catalog for the Gold & Silver / Swarovski collection.
Washbasins from the company's general catalog are reborn in gold and silver, to which are applied in different textures and the emblematic Swarovski crystals.
As expected, vintage prints are also present in this collection, but this time with a metallic finish.
