The Cantabrian company Bathco presented its first own space yesterday at the 55th edition of Casa Decor, a personal and unique proposal, developed with interior designer Virginia Sánchez and titled ‘The Baroness with a Brush’.

For the conceptualization of this project, the interior designer wanted to pay homage to the artist Tamara de Lempicka, one of the most visible figures of New York Art Deco. Able to unite boldness and elegance, she left a legacy of over 80 paintings in which she reflected her strong personality, magnetism, and creativity.

With this backdrop as inspiration, Virginia Sánchez has shaped a new style in which luminous and bright colors are the protagonists. Based on this idea and with the company's most exclusive pieces, the artists of Bathco Atelier have created and hand-painted each of the items presented yesterday at the Madrid event.

Until April 19, visitors to Casa Decor can access the Bathco space on the first floor of building 21 at 21 Velázquez Street. There they will find a collection of hand-painted sinks imitating marble, two large murals inspired by Lempicka's work, and a set of ceramic volumes that dress the walls like a tapestry.

The set has a 1920s aesthetic where art and decoration go hand-in-hand, uniting in a cutting-edge proposal that reflects Bathco's commitment to innovation and highlights the outstanding work of the Atelier artists.

On the other hand, the Cantabrian company, a leader in the design and manufacture of exclusive bathroom pieces, is also present at Casa Decor through the Reunión model, which it has loaned for the space designed by The Room Studio for Gira.

Sustainability and eco-efficiency are the central themes of Casa Decor 2020, which this year is being held in an emblematic palace house with over 5,000 m2 located on Velázquez Street, one of Madrid's most important commercial arteries. The exhibition presents a tour of approximately 65 spaces enveloped by the particular architectural characteristics of this location. A perfect combination to showcase the latest trends in decoration, materials, home automation, and technology.
