This morning, at its Logistics Center in Heras, the loading of the three trucks that will transport the materials to Valencia took place. In this act of solidarity, the players of Bathco Handball Torrelavega actively joined in to collaborate in the preparation and loading of the goods. The donated material includes 1,000 washbasins, 200 toilets, 144 mirrors, 1,140 pieces of furniture, 200 faucets and more than 6,000 accessories to equip the toilet areas of affected homes and buildings.

In the words of its CEO, José López Cortés, “Bathco could not stand by and do nothing while we watch the catastrophe that the DANA has produced in our country. We believe that one of the first needs is the reconstruction of homes in the affected areas. With our contribution we are trying to minimize the economic impact it will have on many families”.

In order to guarantee that the material arrives with full guarantees and to the groups that need it most, Bathco has decided to channel this assistance through Interior Designers in Action. It is a solidarity group made up of more than 200 architects, interior designers and decorators, together with furniture, household appliances and construction materials companies. This group works to transform damaged spaces into functional and welcoming homes, providing the essentials so that affected families can recover a safe and habitable place.

The process of delivery and follow-up of donations is managed with the utmost transparency through the FDI Foundation, The organization is responsible for overseeing each phase of the project. In addition, the organization Peralta Vidavi, specialized in lighting design, coordinates the dynamization of the interventions in the area.

The reception of the material sent will take place at the Valencia Fair (which provides its facilities free of charge) until the final delivery to the families. Priority will be given to families with dependent children, dependents and those in critical economic situation.

This initiative reaffirms Bathco's commitment to solidarity causes, highlighting the union between business, sport and society to overcome collective challenges.
