Bathco obtains ISO 14001 certification for its commitment to the environment
Bathco joins the global concern for environmental preservation and decides to implement the ISO 14001 standard to demonstrate its commitment to the environment through sustainable management.

With this standard, the Cantabrian company specializing in the bathroom sector establishes tools and systems focused on its production processes and takes into account the effects or externalities on the environment to reduce environmental risks.
To put this into practice, Bathco has established an Environmental Management System and is implementing a series of actions included in an environmental policy that seeks to care for and protect the environment:
- Use of materials that reduce environmental impact by seeking alternatives.
- Evaluation and control of environmental aspects in operational processes.
- Compliance with environmental legislation requirements and continuous improvement of ecological performance.
- Use of products that do not degrade the environmental impact throughout their lifecycle, as well as the reuse or adequate treatment of leftover materials.
- Consider proposals from suppliers, company staff, and stakeholders to reduce environmental impact.
- Develop all activities within an environmental protection framework, which encourages the conservation of the environment in those areas where activities are carried out, the rational consumption of natural resources, efficient waste management, and pollution prevention.
More specifically, the company commits to continuing to comply with Technical Instruction IT-JL-9-08-01 on “Environmental Best Practices.” This involves reducing energy consumption, decreasing waste and facilitating its reuse, informing and training employees and customers to achieve good integration of the measures adopted for environmental improvement, as well as increasing the company's competitiveness in these terms.
For Bathco, it is a source of pride to have this certification, which confirms the good practices it has been implementing for years and declares the environmental responsibility of all the workers who are part of the company.
