Bathco at Barcelona Design Week

The company specialized in the bathroom sector will be present for the first time at one of the most important Design Weeks on the international scene through the initiative “Living Architecture”A project to showcase the best architecture, driven by Paty Núñez Agency, which includes the renovation of an iconic 1970s home for which they have enlisted Bathco as the main partner in bathroom design.

The I study Vilablanch has been in charge of the housing rehabilitation project. An apartment designed in the 70s by the well-known Catalan firm MBM (Mackay, Bohigas, Martorell) and photographed by Catalá-Roca as the epitome of modern lifestyle. This is where the real challenge lies: updating a groundbreaking and emblematic space from the seventies to the needs of the 21st century.

Vilablanch has found in the sinks Dalia and Benalmádenafrom Bathco an innovative solution to make optimal use of space without losing aesthetic value. Likewise, it has chosen the toilet New Ronda to add functionality to the space. The bathtub takes center stage in the bathroom Pretoriade Dado Quartz, a piece of quartz mixed with resin with simple lines and geometries, and the sink Luena  from the Solid Surface collection. 

“Living Architecture” will take place as part of the upcoming Barcelona Design Week November 17 to 26. Your program reflects on the passage of time and habitability from guided tours to an MBM building and to the renovated dwelling, a Debate series around the design, a Innovation showroom and one exhibition by the artist Jordi Bernardo.
