Bathco's sinks and luminous murals impress at Cevisama 2019

Bathco Atelier continues to innovate by applying new pigments to porcelain, achieving surprising results with its luminous sinks and wall tiles that glow under ultraviolet light.

Light is already an everyday thing that we have become completely accustomed to. What was almost magical centuries ago is now a most common occurrence. We all know that with a simple gesture, we can go from total darkness to an endless array of shapes and colors that are before us daily in an instant.

Taking the foregoing into account, the Bathco Atelier artists wanted to revive that capacity for surprise to offer something groundbreaking aimed at both private projects and restaurants or nightclubs.

The artists of the Cantabrian company have spent months researching different pigments and their reaction to heat on porcelain. The result has been a series of sinks and murals decorated with ceramic decals or hand-painted, to which a photoluminescent pigment is applied that reacts to ultraviolet light or black light.

This new technique offers the opportunity to create fully customized projects with the appeal that ultraviolet light provides.
