DANIEL LLORENS CASTELLÓ. Cersaie 2016, with less than two months before it opens its doors, has hung the «sold out» sign. The 156,000 square meters of exhibition space are already occupied, according to organizational sources, who emphasize that the final number of participating companies will be 788, of which 164 will be Spanish.
«It is a demonstration of the interest that Italian and foreign exhibitors from five continents show for the International Exhibition of Ceramics for Architecture and Bathroom Furnishings in Bologna, which this year celebrates its 34th edition,» assures the president of the Promotional Activities and Trade Fairs Commission of Cersaie, Emilio Mussini.
The organization also expresses «special satisfaction» because the Italian fair is consolidated «as the main showcase» for both the ceramic and bathroom sectors: The ceramic industry will occupy 16 pavilions and the bathroom equipment sector will have 4 pavilions. In both cases, it is «an especially ample and representative presence that will allow visitors to discover the most innovative proposals from the world of Italian and foreign production,» stresses Mussini.
But beyond being the global benchmark for the ceramic paving and cladding industry, Cersaie is consolidating itself in this new edition as an event dedicated to the world of industrial coatings. In fact, there will also be a significant presence of natural wood flooring producers and the marble industry, while, for the third consecutive year, Hall 22 will be exclusively dedicated to solutions for horizontal and vertical surface coverings.
The Cersaie organization ensures that the fair's success is due to the combination of its strong impact on the global distribution system with exhibitions and thematic events that help dignify and promote the use of ceramics. These include the ‘Galleria dell’Architettura,’ the ‘Città della Posa,’ and the ‘Agorà dei Media.’ Important professionals in each of the addressed categories participate in these events, along with the content presented.
A varied program of activities that this year, and for the first time, will be completed with the ‘Café della Stampa’, venues where conversations will be held on current and relevant topics for Cersaie participants with representatives from the leading Italian magazines dedicated to the world of ceramics, architecture, and design.
