The day began on June 3rd with a creative activity at the Hotel Chiqui Santander, where participants could get hands-on experience with some of the brands' manual processes. Afterwards, they enjoyed dinner at the restaurant in the Centro Botín, an iconic architectural landmark in the city.
On the 4th, the group visited the Hisbalit factory, the oldest in Europe for glass mosaic production, to witness firsthand its artisanal and sustainable manufacturing process. Next, they moved to Bathco, where they saw how the artists at the Atelier transform each ceramic sink into a unique piece through manual techniques that combine tradition and innovation.
Participating studios included Baltasar Ríos Arquitectos, CM4 Arquitectos, Cocobolo Interiorismo, Cristina Orozco Decoración, Reondo, and Studio Cocohic, represented by professionals such as Baltasar Ríos, Javier Berdugo, Alberto Ruiz, Cristina Orozco, José Lozano, and Jennifer Barcia, respectively.
This workshop reaffirms Bathco and Hisbalit's commitment to promoting the artisanal value in contemporary design, as well as the importance of forging ties between brands and industry professionals to continue driving creative and sustainable proposals.
